In 2007, the shop has been sold to the actual owners, which are Sylvie Larocque and Claude Hétu. Desirous to make scuba diving accessible to anyone and to the greater number possible, they decide to join the international organization: PADI. Thanks to the changeover, the goal to democratize diving is completed by a team of affiliated instructors or independent ones and by qualified Dive Masters, which are all nearby to offer you various courses from beginner’s level to professional ones up to Dive Master.
In addition to the educational department, you will find in the boutique an interesting choice of dive gear going from wetsuits to dry suits. A wide range of different brands will allow you to complete your set. Over more, the maintenance team offers you cleaning services, material repairs, and you will also be able to rent the pieces you do not already own at Sub Aqua Tech.
To achieve our goal to let you savor the magnificent eastern Canada’s underwater sites, we organize excursions from the Thousand Islands to les Escoumins weekly, in the high season. We assure a close supervising of beginners and more experienced divers. Furthermore, if you do not have a buddy, we might find one for you! Besides, we also travel to more exotic destinations in order to make you discover the wonders of some of the most impressive remote dive sites of the world.
The experience, combined to knowledge, makes Claude Hetu able to offer great advices to Tech divers. The owners, wishing to offer those meticulous divers, tech dive forcing them to be strongly accurate with their material, developed a broad variety of technical gear, with specifics brands like Halcyon. We also own a Gaz Booster’s to fill tanks. Regarding those characteristic, we exclusively offer them in Montreal and its surrounding. For that matter, we fill up Nitrox, Oxygen, Helium and Tri-Mix tanks.
Claude Hétu is certified to proceed maintenance on high pressure compressor and to sell pieces.
